LineSaver™ is a single-use initiating systems (IS) retention device for use in quarries and open cut mining operations.
LineSaver™ is an alternative to bamboo stakes and survey pegs, and is designed to prevent inadvertent loss of leads and connectors down the blast hole during charging operations.
If LineSaver™ is dragged into the blast hole by the attached ordnance for whatever reason, it is designed to collapse to prevent a possible snap-slap-shoot event, unlike most alternative signal tube detonator retaining devices.
Made from compostable, biodegradable, plant-based, renewable organic materials, this product is designed to compost in waste or be consumed in the downstream processing. Single use means no retrieval labour cost and mitigation of back injury risk on-bench.
LineSaver™ is water resistant, environmentally friendly, relatively inexpensive, and complies with Australian Standard AS4736-2006 (Biodegradable Plastics). Australian Patent pending.
